Test Shoot Reflections
What went well:
- We got some interesting shots that could be possibly be used in the final edit
- We got all of the shots we needed and followed the shot list well
- We became more familiar with the equipment like the camera and lights
- We learned how best to frame shots in confined spaces (ie. Gavin's room)
- We experimented with different ways to light the space and which ways worked the best
Bad points/improvements:
- We had to use two cameras as some shots needed a very wide angle to capture everything. This means that some shots look very different to others
- There were some small continuity issues
- The room got very hot from the lights being on
- Some shots were very hard to get because the space was small
- We stopped using the clapperboard because we were running out of time. This made the editing process harder than it needed to be
- It was very difficult to cover up the skylight and some daylight got through, meaning the lighting varied slightly between shots
