Treatment - Shots and Soundtrack

Shot List:

1. shot reverse shot (getting more zoomed) of him looking at the picture of Lara

2. puts the picture down, sighs and lies down

3. birds eye shot as he falls onto the bed. Pans right. Montage begins.

4. Sitting on floor eating ice cream while internetting - floor level, low angle

5. tv shot - side on. starts on left on michael. words on wall straight ahead. goes right to tv.

6. birds eye of him scrunching up a love song for Lara on his desk and throwing it away

7. Ripping up photos of Lara

8. Playing guitar

9. Regretting ripping up photos

10. lying face down on bed and then friends run in
11. Staring blankly while friends talk.
12. Establishing shot of the setting while they talk


The following shots will be simple over-the-shoulder shots, mid shots and close ups to show the conversation. The camerawork will not be the main focus and so it will be simple so that it doesn't distract from what is being said.


During the first part of the opening sequence (the first 10 shots) there will be non-diegetic music. The music will be fairly simple, quite rocky and also slightly sad to reflect Michael's mood. However, it won't be depressing as the film is meant to be up-beat and light-hearted. 


As the final title comes on the screen, there will again be non-diegetic music. It will be very garage-rock-like, similar to the music style in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. It will be fast paced and catchy.
